INTRODUCTION

Avishkar, the flagship event of IEEE - VBIT SB, is a Technical Paper Presentation Competition held every year, exclusively for the first-year students of VBIT. In the year 2011, IEEE - VBIT SB was awarded the eminent "Darrel Chong Gold Student Activity Award" for organizing Avishkar, five years in a row. It exhorts students to ameliorate their presentational acquaintance and acquire expertise in leading-edge technologies. Avishkar indues students with the eloquence of language, enabling them to enhance their oratory skills and research ingenuity.

WHAT IS AVISHKAR?

Avishkar bestows a cognitive framework in the future pursuits of the freshmen of VBIT. It assists students in refining their analytical abilities and also procuring new ones. Students gain exposure to diverse technologies and become aware of the professional standards of the presentation. It comprises of two rounds:
Round 1: Preliminary round.
Round 2: Final round.
The Preliminary Phase entails segregating participants into their respective halls based on the domain they chose. Participants present their ideas in these halls to the judges and attendees. Ten minutes are allotted to each presentation, of which eight minutes are for the presentation and two minutes are for questions.
Participants are conscientiously evaluated by a panel of judges. The top ten presenters are nominated for the final round. The best among them are assessed, and awarded with certificates and mementos.

IMPORTANT NOTE:

PPT:

  1. The PPT must have a minimum of 10 slides.
  2. The PPT can have a maximum of 15 slides.
  3. No animations or transitions are to be used in the PPT.
  4. Times New Roman font should be used in the PPT.
  5. "Queries" slide and "Thank you" slide must be appended at the end of the PPT.
  6. Use the same naming format for your PPT as you did for the abstract.
  7. Both Abstract and PPT must be submitted by the given deadline.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE IN AVISHKAR?

To participate in Avishkar 2K22, follow these steps:

  1. Register yourself through the registration link or by scanning the QR code provided on the poster.
  2. NOTE: There is no registration fee.
  3. You can participate as an individual or in a team of two.
  4. After completing the registration procedure, you can select any topic from a technical domain.
  5. NOTE: Avoid selecting generic topics.
  6. Complete the abstract of your chosen topic in the given time and submit it through the submission link provided.
  7. Once the abstract has been submitted, prepare and submit the PowerPoint Presentation.
